It is distributed in the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere from England to Japan. Its center of distribution is the Himalayas. In Europe, only *Herminium monorchis* occurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Plant Description:<br><\/strong>Herminium monorchis is a delicate orchid, growing up to 30 cm tall, with honey-scented flowers. Two leaves emerge in spring from the rather small, overwintering tubers. It occasionally colonizes not-too-dry patches of dry grassland. Easy to cultivate but not a strong competitor. Requires sufficient moisture in summer.
