They do not occur naturally in Europe.<br><br><strong>Plant Description:<\/strong><br>A single leaf at the base of the up to 25 cm tall inflorescence, bearing only one flower. The plants form large groups and clumps via a branching rhizome. Flowers up to<br>2 cm in size, white, pink, or red. Lightly scented. The leaves appear in early May, and the plants flower a few weeks later. They are easy to cultivate with consistent moisture during the summer. Even when grown in pots, fertilization is unnecessary.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uagb-block-9fcca298 uagb-infobox__content-wrap  uagb-infobox-icon-above-title uagb-infobox-image-valign-top\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-content\"><div class=\"uagb-ifb-title-wrap\"><\/div><p class=\"uagb-ifb-desc\"><strong>Pogonia ophioglossoides<\/strong>: This is a beautiful and very rewarding garden orchid. It is completely winter-hardy in Central Europe.
